WilsonAllisonAllenA celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:30 PM at First United Methodist Church Brownwood, Texas with Dr. Don Scroggs officiating. Visitation will be on Friday March 13, 2015 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.  Additional services were held in St. Joseph, Michigan on Sunday March 8, 2015.

Allison Katherine Allen was born on August 27, 1970 to Ann (Harlow) and Thomas Ray Allen in Brownwood, Texas. Allison attended Brownwood High School where she played flute in the band and studied piano with Leota Bartholomew. Allison loved her many special friends that went to school with her. She also attended Angelo State University and graduated with her R.N. degree in 1994. Allison worked at Brownwood Regional Medical Center for Dr. Marlen Strefling, and Dr. Steven Kelly, Ophthalmologist, and she was an R.N. at several care facilities in Michigan.

Allison was a dedicated Mom. Her most important thing to her were her two boys whom she home-schooled for eight years.

Allison is survived by her parents Ann & Tommy Allen of Brownwood, her two sons Luke and Alex and their father Brad Wilson of St. Joseph, Michigan. Her two brothers Thomas Ray, Jr. (Laurie) of Katy, Texas and Timothy Robert (Wendy) of Abilene, Texas. She also is loved deeply by her maternal grandmother Hilda Harlow of Brownwood. She loved her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and her special friend Jason Tipton of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Frances and John Allen, and her maternal grandfather Bob Harlow.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Brownwood, Texas or Boy Scouts of America Troop 603 at First United Methodist Church, 5506 Ridge Road Stevensville, MI 49127.

Friends and relatives may visit heartlandfuneralhome.net to leave condolences for the family.

Heartland Funeral Home Early, Texas is in charge of arrangements.
