The Texas Department of Public Safety shared information late Tuesday on a one-vehicle fatality accident that took place at 7:52 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 on County Road 108 in Coleman County.

A 2013 Mazda 3 passenger car, driven by 36-year-old Mark Craig Niblett Jr. of Abilene, was traveling east on CR 128. The driver was going at an unsafe speed for the road conditions while navigating a curve. As a result, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which slid off the road and overturned onto its roof.

Niblett was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Justice of the Peace Vicki Kemp.

According to the report, Niblett was not wearing a seatbelt.
