Anna McCullough

Anna Lois (Hughes) McCullough, 68 of Bangs, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024. A private family gathering will be set for a later date.

Anna was born on May 14, 1956 in Lubbock, Texas to her parents, Willie Edward Hughes and Alma (Wigley) Hughes. She graduated from Merkel High School and went to Cisco Jr. College where she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Anna married Richard McCullough on December 29, 1978 in Midland, Texas where they were blessed with 3 children. Anna was a dedicated mother and wife. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved being a Nana. Anna was an amazing cook and enjoyed sharing meals with her family, with extra special time over the holidays. Especially proud of her jalapeno poppers she was always ready to have everyone all together. Anna had a strong personality and was always able to make the people around her smile. Anna was an animal lover, with specific love for her cats. They were her constant companions and gave her so much comfort. She devoted her life and career to helping others. Anna lived a full life surrounded by love. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Anna is survived by her husband, Richard McCullough of Bangs; daughters, Heather McCullough of Bangs, Mindy McCullough of Cross Plains and Kayla weber and wife, Kim of Fort Worth; sister, Ruvelva Meeks; grandkids, Justin Rico, Skylar White and husband Colten, Sierra Rico all of Bangs, Carson McCullough of Cross Plains, River Fletcher and Isla Fletcher of Merkel; and one great grandchild, Kennedi White of Bangs; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Alma Hughes; brothers, Michael Dale Hughes and Edward Lee Hughes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bangs Volunteer Fire Department at 109 First St, Bangs, TX 76823
