Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit announces Young Artist Category for 2025 show

The Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit, a prestigious showcase of artistic talent in the Lone Star State, is proud to announce the addition of a new category dedicated to emerging artists. This initiative aims to recognize and encourage the innovative work of up-and-coming artists who are beginning to make their mark in the art world.

Eligibility and Submission Details:

  • Open to Texas residents aged 15 – 21 years of age.

  • Artwork must be original, not done under supervision, and not a copy of published work by another artist.

  • Submissions must have been completed within the last three years.

Important Dates for 2025 Submissions:

  • Submissions: Friday, January 31, 5pm-8pm; Saturday, February 1, 8am-11am.

  • Judging: Saturday, February 1, 11am-4pm.

  • Awards Ceremony: Saturday, February 8, 2pm-4pm.

  • Exhibit Dates: Sunday, February 8 – Saturday, February 22.

The exhibit will take place at the Brownwood Depot Civic and Cultural Center, with the Salon De Refuse located at the Brownwood Art Center. Over $7,000 in awards will be given to the winning artists during a VIP,  invitation-only reception.
