After a life lived to the fullest for 93 years, Anna Laura Pierce (also known as Anne and Annie) passed away peacefully in Wellington, Texas on October 24, 2024.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband E. D. Pierce in 2013, and is survived by her daughters DeeAnne Fultz and Debbie Bruna, both of Las Vegas, Nevada, Darla Pierce of Ocala, Florida and Rene Lively of Wellington, several grandchildren and many great grandchildren, all of whom she wrapped in love and laughter.

Anna was born on August 26, 1931, in George West, Texas, to Elsie and George Washington McKinney. After graduating from Belton High School, Anna moved to Brownwood and met and married the love of her life, E. D. “Dee” Pierce. Over the next nine years, Anna and Dee welcomed their four daughters.

Anna was an outstanding seamstress her entire life and parlayed her skills into an exciting career when the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

At first Anna was a wardrobe assistant for several production shows on the Las Vegas Strip, then branched out to work as a dresser for many Las Vegas headliners including Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, and Clint Black.

Anna worked and traveled alongside her good friend and comedienne Joan Rivers for more than 30 years in countless states and countries.

After Anna and Dee retired in their hometown of Brownwood, Anna became an active member of the New Beginnings church in Brownwood and volunteered for the Salvation Army, and as an election official.

The family will receive friends at Heartland Funeral Home from 10:00 until 11:00 am on Saturday, November 9, 2024, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkland Manor Assisted living facility in Wellington for all the kindness and friendship they provided Anna.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the Pierce family online at heartlandfuneralhome.com
