Jack M. Blossman

blossmanJack M. Blossman, age 84, of San Saba passed away December 30, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015, at First Baptist Church of San Saba with Bro. Sam Crosby officiating, interment to follow at China Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1:30-3:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service Sunday at First Baptist Church.

Jack was born August 30, 1930, to Floyd and Florese Blossman in Houston, Texas. Jack married, Donna, on February 7, 1976 in San Saba, Texas. He retired from the Texas Highway Department after 35 years. During his tenure with the Highway Department he was a nominee for the Lady Bird Johnson Beautification Award for his dedication.  He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Jimmy Jones Bible Study Class, and a member of the San Saba Masonic Lodge #612, having just celebrated his sixty second year as a Mason.

Jack is survived by his wife, Donna Blossman of San Saba; daughter, Mary Ann Crim of San Saba; two sons, David Blossman and wife Sharon of San Saba, Jack H. Blossman and wife Donna L. of San Saba; 2 step sons, Derick Finnigan and wife Karen of Brownwood, and Douglas Finnigan and wife Lisa of Brownwood; grandchildren: Christie Heneghan, Stephen Crim, Larry Keith Crim, Brandy Thiel, Laura Weeks, Damon Blossman, Randal Finnigan, Lacy Finnigan, Alyson Finnigan; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Florese Moore of MS; and sister-in-law, Robbie Blossman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Ben Blossman.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mission San Saba Project or the First Baptist Church Youth Group.  Online condolences may be left at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba.
