The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release regarding felony cases recently heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

• Edwin Maldonado pled guilty to the felony offenses of Burglary of a Habitation with Commission of Felony and Aggravated Robbery – Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 30 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
• Kristy Ferguson pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 30 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
• Rodrigo Ortega Jr. pled guilty to the felony offense of Sexual Assault of a Child – Bigamy and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
• Jimmy Lee Dudley pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
• Michael Chumbley, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
• Micah David Varnum pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
