East Elementary Raises Over $3000 to Help Student With Upcoming Heart Surgery

JoshDiazDuring the Fall Festival in October, East Elementary raised money to help one of its students with an upcoming heart surgery. Through a silent auction, cake walk and food sales, the school raised $3190.65 to be donated to the family of Josh Diaz who faces the surgery in December.

In a letter sent to individuals and business that helped with the effort, East Elementary Principal, Nanda Wilbourn, showed her gratitude for the support.

“Thank you for the generosity you showed by donating items for our silent auction,” stated Wilbourn listing the following businesses and individuals for their help and involvement:
