Ernest Joseph “Joey” Green

GreenErnestJosephJoey joined his heavenly Father and his dad in heaven on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

A celebration of Joey’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014, at Lakeview Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Looby and John Delarosa officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. today at Netherton Funeral Home.

Joey was born on October 11, 1970, to EJ Green and Eva Whitehead Green in Brownwood. Joey was raised at Lake Brownwood and continued to have a love for the lake and fishing even after he moved. He loved old cars and had a special interest in El Camino’s. Joey loved football and was a diehard University of Texas Longhorn fan. He drove a truck for Kennedy Tire for many years and has always enjoyed working in construction with two of his best friends. Joey’s laughter was infectious and so was his smile. Joey had a very large heart and was always willing and wanting to help anyone that he could.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Eva Green; daughter, Caitlin Green; brother, Jerry Green and wife Dian of Bangs; sister, Barbara Goolsby and husband Aron of Brownwood; and brother, Larry Green; nephews, Scott Collier and wife Christy of Oklahoma and James Green of Washington; nieces, Brittany Craddock and husband Troy of Early, Tessa Knickerbocker and husband Ryan of Frisco, Madison Green of Bangs, and Nivea Green of Washington; great nephews and great nieces, Koral Sanchez and husband Jory, Justus Collier, Seth Crawford, Isabela Avalos, Eryn Craddock, Avery and Drew Knickerbocker. Joey also leaves behind a very special friend, Marchetta Green, many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and one great great nephew.

Joey was preceded in death by his father, EJ Green and numerous aunts and uncles.

Pall bearers will be Scott Elliott, Ronnie ‘Bub’ Elliott, Chris Martin, Troy Craddock, Ben Monroe and Adam Jimenez. Honorary pall bearer, Scott Collier.
