Rising Star will celebrate Independence Day Thursday, July 4 with a fireworks shows at dusk, which caps a full day of event.

Food vendors and the Freedom Train, sponsored by Star Pride, will be at the park from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Vendors should call Ruby Campbell at 254-485-5412.
