The Early Police Department posted the following information on Facebook Friday morning:

Early Police and Fire responded to 900 block of Early Blvd. Friday morning at approximately 4:45 a.m. with a vehicle that ran into a building. Units first arriving found gas leaking and electrical lines boxes on the building knocked down. The driver was not injured and claimed he was ran off the road. A review of the video over the intersection showed the driver running at a high rate of speed coming from U.S. 183 South. The vehicle crossed the intersection on left side of road in oncoming lanes crossing Early Blvd. and striking the building. The driver, from Austin, was arrested for reckless driving.
