Brownwood Police Officers responded to a call Thursday evening at the 1500 block of Durham regarding a large fight with gunshots being fired.

According to a police report, a witness at the scene reported that a car stopped near a residence in the block with five females exiting the vehicle and “were yelling” at other females at the residence.  The witness then said a fight ensued between all of the parties in the middle of the street.  The police report states that the witness saw a man then exit the vehicle, pull out a revolver, and fire two shots into the air.  The witness said that the fight stopped at that time and the six people got back into the car and drove away.

The report states that many of those involved in the fight were interviewed by police, but police were told varying accounts of what took place.  Police are still investigating the incident.
