The County Wide Clean Up, sponsored by the City of Brownwood and Keep Brownwood Beautiful, has been postponed until Saturday, March 27, 2010 due to the weather.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Special Weather Statement” forcasting an artic front to pass through Brownwood early Saturday morning.  Wind chills will be in the 20s and 30s as north winds blow 20-30 mph.  Temperatures are expected only to rise into the mid 40s in the Brownwood Area.

Residents that still need to dispose of items on Saturday may take them to the Landfill or the Recycling Center, located at 6800 FM 45 South, at no charge provided that the load is covered by a tarp and does not contain commercial or hazardous waste.
