Lavoy Ann Schlee

schleeFuneral services for Lavoy Ann Schlee, 70, of Comanche, will be held at 2 PM, March 19, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with Efrain Almodova officiating. Interment will follow at Priddy Cemetery in Mills County. Visitation was held from  6:30 to 8:30 on Thursday at the funeral home .

Mrs. Schlee passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple Texas.

 

Lavoy Ann Steinman was born on October 26, 1939, in Gorman Texas, the daughter of Shirley and Louis Steinman. She later married Walter James Schlee on March 29, 1954, in Comanche Texas. Mrs. Schlee had been a resident of Comanche since 1967, moving there from Priddy.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Brownwood, Texas Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Walter James Schlee; two sons, Warren Schlee of Little Elm Texas and Mark Schlee and wife Belinda, of Flower Mound Texas; one daughter, Donna Shipman and husband Jerry, of May and her mother, Shirley Lewis of Early.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Lauren Schlee of China Springs, Texas, Emma Schlee of Flower Mound Texas, Robert Shipman of Houston and Jared Shipman of Austin.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Steinman and her brother, Alton Glenn Steinman.
