The Brownwood Police Department continues to seek a suspect in the Wednesday morning assault on a woman in the parking lot of the Kroger Grocery Store in Brownwood.

Police reports indicate that after 1am, an unknown man grabbed the woman as she was putting her purchase in her vehicle and tried to force her into the back seat of the car.  The woman fended off the attack and the man fled in a vehicle parked nearby.  Click Here for the complete account of the incident.

Police released a description of the suspect and surveillance video showing him inside of the Kroger store shortly before the attack occurred.

The suspect is described by witnesses as a white male approximately six feet tall, slender build, between 120-150 pounds.  He was wearing a green camo jacket with a hood, a dark colored baseball style hat, had a red/brown goatee, and was bald.

Police state that the incident is similar to another one that occurred in September of 2009 at a local convenience store.

Police are hoping the released video surveillance footage will help identify the suspect.  Anyone with information should contact the Brownwood Police Department.
