Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 55 degrees; 6.71′ low. Black bass are good on craw and black/blue Bass Hogg jigs, Persuader crankbaits, and GrandeBass 4″ Trickster worms along docks, between rocks, and over brush piles. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits off lighted docks. Crappie are fair on Li’l Fishies and minnows over brush piles in 10 – 18 feet, and near the Hwy. 279 Bridge. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 8 – 10 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water murky; 52 degrees; 8.67′ low. Black bass are fair on soft plastics and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are good on minnows and chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 53 degrees; 2.39′ low. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair trolling crankbaits. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live shad and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
