DonationTheARKDennis Graham, president of the Kiwanis Club of Brownwood  recently presented  Terri Densman, Executive Director of The ARK, a check for $500 dollars.  The Kiwanis Club routinely supports many of the nonprofit charity organizations in the local area.  Graham said that on behalf of the Brownwood Kiwanis, he thanked The ARK & their staff for what they do to help the families that come to them in need of support.

Densman said, “We are extremely grateful for the support that the Kiwanis Club has always given to the ARK. Without local support, the ARK would never have been able to survive to continue to help victims of domestic violence.”

The ARK is a shelter for victims of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse and their families in Brown, Coleman and Comanche Counties.  It is a pet friendly shelter so that victims may also bring their pets with them when they come. The phone number to call for help is 325-643-2699.  For more information about the ARK Shelter, please visit www.arkshelter.org.
