Cameron Seale was named winner of the 3rd annual Brownwood’s Got Talent Competition at the Brownwood Reunion Celebration on Saturday evening playing guitar and singing two country songs, one of which was an original that he wrote.

20-year-old Seale took bragging rights of winning and will open for Restless Heart at Saturday night’s concert on the Celebration Stage during the festival.   He also received a complementary recording session with Brownwood Music.   As an extra bonus, Seale received two backstage passes and VIP tickets to the concert.

Seale stated that he almost didn’t enter the contest.

“I didn’t plan to enter this year, but was talked into it and it turned out pretty good,” said Seale.

When asked how he felt about opening for Restless Heart, he hadn’t been too familiar with their music but started listening to it lately.  “I’m pretty pumped up.  I’ve got a lot of family that really loves them and they are an awesome band.  It’s going to be great.”

He has been performing for approximately 8-9 years, was raised in Brownwood and is a 2012 BHS graduate.

Seale hopes to secure a music recording career soon.  “I’m hoping, but it’s a slow process,” said Seale.  “I’ve got a few things recorded on YouTube, I plan to get some stuff recorded and see what happens.  I’m going to Nashville in a couple of weeks.  I’ve got some friends I’m going to visit there, and try to record a couple of things soon.

On Saturday afternoon, all twelve of the Brownwood’s Got Talent finalists performed two songs of their choice for their last performance for the judges and audience. The results were decided by 50% online voting by the public, and the other 50% by the judges’ panel on Saturday.

Second place was awarded to Aaron Tassin who played guitar and sang an original song of his own.  Third place went to Kayla Duncan who also sang country, including a Randy Travis song.  Both will receive two general admissions to tonight’s concert. The top three finalists also received Brownwood Reunion insulated cups.  The top twelve were awarded custom designed Brownwood’s Got Talent Reunion t-shirts from Willie’s T’s.

Other finalists performing Saturday included TYME (Two Young Men Entertaining) – comprised of the 2013 winner Zackary Webb and Marlon Hamilton, Wayne Harris, All DatSnazz,, Jeanice Padilla, Cody Sellers, Samantha Bush Kerner, Destanie Rawls, Sid Perkins and Kellee Greenwood.
