Glenda Gowin, age 66, of Bangs passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Memorial Services for Glenda will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Victory Life Church with Todd King officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. No set visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Glenda was born on March 4, 1948 in Brownwood, daughter of A.J. and Johnny (Hudson) Pierce. She retired from GTE. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, TeFanie Gowin of Temple, Heather Gowin and Mike Massey, Heath Gowin and Missy Gowin, Sabrina Morrison and husband Tommy of Blanket, Traci Wallace and husband James of Eastland; nine grandchildren, Keeley and Montana Gowin, Stetson Kelley, Darrell Williams, Daniela and Domanique Martinez, Dalton Hilliard, Tanner Jones, and Jaydan Wallace; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Randy Pierce and wife Meta, Edwin Pierce and wife Debbie of Granbury; four nieces; also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Johnny Pierce; grandson, Billy Edward Jones; and great-granddaughter, Alicia Rae Espinoza.
