GLEN ROSE – The Brownwood Lady Lions were limited to three hits as they dropped their District 6-4A softball at Glen Rose Tuesday night by a 10-0 count.

The Lady Lions (6-9, 0-1) surrendered four runs in the bottom of the first inning, one each in the second and third, and two runs apiece in the fourth and fifth frames as Glen Rose (13-9, 1-0) enforced the 10-run mercy rule.

Tynlea Wilson surrendered four earned runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts and four walks, as the Brownwood defense committed seven errors in the field.

Offensively for Brownwood, Jeniffer Romero, Jakayla Peek and Wilson logged notched singles.

The Lady Lions are back in action at 6:30 p.m. Friday as they host Mineral Wells (10-13, 1-0) – which defeated Stephenville (7-10, 0-1) by a 7-5 count Tuesday – in their first 6-4A contest in Brownwood.
