The 10u Bombers Sheffield took home 2nd place this weekend to a really good Rage team from Seguin. It was truly a team effort this weekend. The Bombers played 5 games straight and never stopped battling to make it to the championship game.
Scout Sheffield pitched 15 innings and pitched 5 games straight. She had 12 strikeouts and also had a no hitter in bracket game 2. Leila Wyatt (Watts) caught 5 games straight and showed lots of grit and threw runners out. Fynlee Brown had 2 in the park home runs. Taylor Dunn, Mayra Garcia and Leila (Watts) all had blasts for triples.
Scout Sheffield had a .667 batting average and was precise playing small ball and hitting. Taylor Dunn, Leila Watts, Mayra Garcia and Fynlee Brown all hit .333 in the tournament. Taylor Dunn had a .900 fielding percentage and played a solid short stop all weekend. Audrey Stewart made some great stops playing 1st base as well and Hannah Armstrong held down 3rd base for her first ever tourney there and didn’t disappoint.
10u will be back in action March 23-24th.
