bisdlogo4To help familiarize parents with Brownwood Middle School teachers and procedures, BMS will hold their annual Open House/Meet the Teacher night on Tuesday, September 2, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the middle school.

There will be a group meeting with all parents of students from each academic team at 5:15 p.m. in the Science rooms for each team.  Locations for the group meetings will be posted around the building.  After group meetings, all teachers will be available until 6:30 p.m. for visits with parents.  Elective teachers and other teachers that do not have a group meeting will be available in their rooms from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

There will also be a meeting for parents at 6:00 p.m. in Lehrer Gym to cover important information about student laptops. Parents of 7th graders and parents of new 8th graders are encouraged to attend. Parents of returning 8th graders are welcome to attend, but they are probably well aware of fees and expectations since those students had laptops last year as 7th graders.

Parking will be available by the tennis courts, the visitor lot in front of the building, or on Calvert Road.  There are also a few parallel spaces on the parent loop in front of the new gym.  Those attending will need to enter through the front door between the new gym and the cafeteria or the main entrance at the tower/foyer.

Please make sure you have your child or his/her schedule when you attend.  This will help you know which team your child is on so you can locate the appropriate team meeting in addition to the teachers at the various rooms.

Mrs. Haggerton, BMS Attendance Clerk, will also be available to sign parents up with a portal ID for checking grades on Gradebook.
