OliviaWilliamsFuneral Services for Olivia Williams, age 84, of Early, Texas will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Funeral Home.  She passed away March 11, 2010 in a local nursing home.

Olivia was born on August 12, 1925 in Seymour, Missouri to Bill and Gladys Hargis Matney.  After attending school through the 8th grade her mother was severely burned. Olivia, being the eldest daughter, had to quit school to help care for her family.   On August 27, 1947 she was married to Clarence Nelson Williams in Yuma, Arizona.  She was a homemaker and had resided in Early since 1970.

Survivors include:

Three Sons:  Joe Williams and wife Geretta of Lake Brownwood, Texas; Richard Williams and wife Judy of Early, Texas; and Jack Williams and wife Becki of Early, Texas.

Two Daughters: Ruth Ramirez and husband Mike of California and Judy Watson and husband Dennis of Early, Texas

One Brother: Lester Matney of Seymour, Missouri

Two Sisters: Oleta Codding of Seymour, Missouri and Aniece Hemminger and husband Russell of Lebanon, Missouri

Thirteen Grandchildren:  Duane Tomic, Lisa Tomic, Ted Watson, Amber Watson Hyden, Brett Watson, Rena Williams, Crystal Williams McPherson, Heather Williams Dahle-Rosenberg, Vanessa Williams, Jennifer Williams Caitlin, Amanda Williams, Jackie Randle and Kim Akin.

27 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers – Willard, Earnest, Jackie and Bill; sisters- Darlene Wilma, Vivian and Wanda and by one great grandson Isaac Romero.
