Three seats on the Board of Directors of the Brown County Water Improvement District #1 are up for election this year.  The three seats are currently held by Jimmy Jones, Johnny Hayes, and James McMillian.  All three have filed for re-election; no other candidates have filed.

In Water Board elections, candidates do not run for a specific seat.  All declared candidates run as a group, and the top three vote-getters are elected.

The election will be held on May 4, and candidates have until February 16 to file at the District office located at 501 East Baker St.  For more information call the District at 325-643-2609.
