Mary Lucile Jarratt Frazier

Mary Lucile Jarratt Frazier passed gently into the next life on Thursday morning July 10, 2014, at home in Loraine, Texas, at age 99.

Lucile was born on May 21, 1915, in Loraine, to parents A. Ervin Jarratt and Mary Jena Norcross Jarratt. During her early life she was raised in Loraine attending Loraine High School and was of Christian faith joining the Methodist Church. On February 17, 1936, Lucile was married to John Wiley Frazier in Loraine. John and Lucile Frazier lived most of their married life in Brown County owning a photography studio in Brownwood, Texas. They were also involved in ranching and real estate. After John’s death in 1994, Lucile spent the remainder of her life in Loraine with her sister, Marie Jarratt Hare. Lucile is survived by her dear sister, Marie Jarratt Hare of Loraine, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Irving Jarratt of Midland, Texas, William Jarratt of Ruidoso, N.M., John Jarratt of Loraine, Texas, and Dudley Jarratt of Houston.

Lucile is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews: children of brother Irving – Arnold Jarratt of Los Vegas, Nev., Art Jarratt of Odessa, Texas, Jena Prince of Midland, Texas, Ruth Jarratt Ewing of Ruidoso, N.M.; child of brother William- Kathy Walker of Ruidoso, N.M.; children of brother John- David Jarratt of Austin, Texas, Mary Jarratt Gomez of Ruidoso, N.M.; children of brother Dudley- Marcie Jarratt Muschiano of Tucson, Ariz., Janine Jarratt Baley of Houston, Texas, Jolene Jarratt Scofield of Houston Texas; children of sister Marie- Ann Hare Hebisen of Lubbock, Texas, Betty Hare Smith of May, Texas, Dean Hare of Canyon Country, Calif.

Graveside Rights services were held at 3:30 PM Sunday, July 13, 2014, at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in May, Texas.

Arrangements in Brown County were under direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
