Although summer is not over yet, Brownwood ISD is preparing for the coming school year and released their back to school guide which includes registration schedules, school start and end times, supply lists and other helpful bits of information.

Registration times are as follows:

BROWNWOOD HIGH SCHOOL: Registration will be held in the front receptionist’s  area at BHS.  Students may pick up registration paperwork beginning August 7th.  Students may return completed paperwork, pick up their class schedule and have their photo ID made during their designated time.  Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores may pay their computer fee and pick up their computers during their designated registration time.

Note: New students will need a parent or guardian with them at registration.  Parent/guardian must bring proof of residency and their driver’s license.  New students will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate, social security card, immunization records, and a copy of their last transcript or report card.

Tuesday, August 12
Seniors: 8:30 – 11:00 a.m (New Students 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.)

Wednesday, August 13
Juniors: 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. (New Students 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.)

Thursday, August 14

Freshman Orientation : 6:30 p.m. in the BHS Auditorium

BROWNWOOD ACCELERATED HIGH SCHOOL: August 14-16

Meet the Teacher: August 26th – 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

BROWNWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL: Students who were 6th graders at Brownwood Intermediate or 7th graders at BMS are have already been pre-registered.

New Student Registration: Wednesday, August 13 – 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  (Only for students who were NOT registered at BISD last year)

Wednesday, August 20: Students pick up schedules in the cafeteria.  Athletes get equipment issued in locker rooms at designated times below.

8th Grade: 1:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.

7th Grade: 2:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Office Worker Orientation: 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Meet the Teacher/Open House: Tuesday, September 2 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.  Parents will get information regarding policies and laptops.

*On the first day of school, students meet in the Lehrer Gym after the 8:09 a.m. bell to receive directions and instructions regarding their schedules.

BROWNWOOD INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL:

5th & 6th Grade Registration: August  11 – 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. each day.   (Only for new students to the district).

Meet the Teacher: August 21st  from 5:40 p.m. until 6:40 p.m.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS: New students to the district, including Pre-K students from Qualification Week, need to attend the new student registration on their respective campuses.

Please bring the following:  current and complete shot records, proof of residency (utility bill or lease agreement), student’s social security  card, driver’s license of parent or guardian, Pre-K qualification form (if applicable), and student birth certificate.

Coggin Elementary

New Student Registration: August 11 – 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

East Elementary:
