Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, July 3, 2014.

Wednesday, July 2

*8:38 AM – A Brownwood Police officer made a stop on a vehicle for the driver not wearing a seat belt.  This stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 22-year-old Arthur Villarreal of Brownwood for driving while license invalid.

*2:56 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue regarding possible narcotics activity.  According to the report, an investigation revealed that the subjects did not possess drugs or narcotics; however it was later found that the bathroom and drainage ditch, at Coggin Park, had been recently spray painted.  It was also later determined that one of the subject had provided a false/fictitious name, the report states.

*4:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Austin Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, an investigation determined that the male half of the disturbance to be the aggressor and a female as the victim.  As a result of this call, 45-year-old Fortson Duran Martin of Brownwood was arrested for assault with injury family violence with previous conviction.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Burton Edward Bailey, Jr. of Fort Worth on a Brown County warrant related to failure to appear/theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 by check; Arlington PD warrants for U turn prohibited by sign, two counts no valid driver’s license/unlicensed, defective stop lamps; Grand Prairie PD warrants for no operator’s license and fail to signal before turning; and Haltom City warrants for driving while license invalid and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Jon Devin Canon of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested Leann Carter of San Angelo on a Midland County warrant related to theft greater than $1500 less than $20,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Wade Richard Hayes of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Kory Sean Ogden of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.

Thursday, July 3

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Gregory Fred Conant of Odessa for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 56-year-old Sheryl Dawn Scott of May for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
