Diane Bailey Fisher

Diane Bailey Fisher, 85, of Brownwood, Texas went to be with the Lord, she passed peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023. The family will announce a celebration of life memorial service at a future date.

Diane was born June 30, 1938 in Norwalk, Connecticut beloved child to Floyd and Mable (Kamberger) Bailey. She was raised primarily in N. Bingham, PA. At an early age she moved to the great state of Texas. After her education she worked at Fluor engineering in Houston, Tx as head switchboard operator and supervisor. She enjoyed motherhood and soon met the love of her life Fred D. Fisher. They were married in 1973. She was a member of the Lake Brownwood First United Methodist Church. Diane loved the Lord with all of her heart and devoted her life to love and care for everyone she met, especially, the less fortunate. She was a volunteer for S.H.A.R.E. in Midland, Tx. Delivered Meals on Wheels & worked at her church’s monthly food pantry. Supported & helped lead KAIROS Prison Ministry. Drove countless hours for Rides of Hope. Volunteered for S.P.C.A. Her real passion was helping rescue and care for animals.

Diane is survived by one sister, Loreen Bailey Freeman of Ulysses, PA; one son, Michael Eugene Johnson of Manvel, TX; one daughter, Michelle Lyn Colburn and husband Dave E. Colburn of Princeton, TX; 2 step daughters, Jennifer Fisher of Porter, TX & Sharon K. Thomas of Normangee, TX; grandchildren, Adam Johnson, Nicholas D. Colburn; Amber Diane Colburn; step grandchildren, Richard Townsend Jr., Christopher Townsend, Trisha Blanton, Michael Douglass, Daniel Heinly & Ryan Heinly; and 4 great-grandchildren, Gavin D. Colburn, Emma, Lee & Lori Johnson.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Fred D. Fisher; her parents Floyd & Mabel B. Bailey; brothers Edward Bailey & Tommy Bailey.
