The 26th Annual Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit will be accepting entries on Friday, January 26th and Saturday, January 27th for consideration for entry into the show at the Depot Civic & Cultural Center located at 600 E. Depot Street in Brownwood.

Juror for this year’s exhibit will be renowned artist Liz Bonham – who will judge the entries from noon – 5 PM on Saturday, January 27th. Artists will be notified whether their submissions have been selected for inclusion in this year’s show. If entries are not selected, artists must pick-up their piece upon conclusion of judging. Entries not selected may be entered into the Salon des Refuses at the Art Association in Downtown Brownwood. There is no additional entry fee for this show.

Submissions that are selected to be included in the Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit will be eligible for special awards, selected by the Juror. Over $5,000 in awards will be given to the winning artists during a VIP, invitation only reception – sponsored by Ann Jones Real Estate – on February 3rd.

The Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit will be open for viewing by the public at the Depot Civic & Cultural Center, at no charge, during the following hours:

Sunday, February 4th – Saturday, February 17th.
Sunday : 1pm-5pm
Monday – Friday : 9am-7pm
Saturday : 9am – 7pm

Special artist demonstrations will also be held during the exhibit – sponsored by TexasBank – from 9 AM -3 PM on February 7th, 8th, 9th and 14th, 15th and 16th. A special Disco Night at the Exhibit event will also be held on Saturday, February 10th from 7-9 PM.

Each February the Brownwood Civic and Cultural Center hosts the annual Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit. This juried exhibit runs for two weeks and culminates with the presentation of over $5,000 in prizes. The Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit was conceived in 1999 in order to showcase the newly restored Santa Fe Depot.
