The Brownwood Lyric Theatre will present their annual children’s show this week titled Johnny and the Bear.

This new work by Nicholas Ewen is a fun story about the tale of how Johnny Appleseed encounters a bear while trying to sleep inside an old tree trunk.  The play will feature some fun puppet characters as well as live actors.

Public performances will be offered on May 22 and 23 at the Howard Payne University Theatre at 6:30 PM each night.   Tickets cost $2 per person and will be available at the door.  The show also traveled to elementary schools this week.
