She was born to E.A. and Nettie (Simons) Box in Rosenthal, Texas on January 26, 1916. Around 8 years of age her family moved to Wellington, Texas where she graduated from High School in 1933. She then married the love of her life, W.P. “Bill” Berryman on June 3, 1933 in Hollis, OK. They shared 74 blessed years when he passed in October 2007. After their son, Joe, graduated from high school they moved back to Texas and managed apartment complexes until retiring to Lake Brownwood to fish. She quilted with Ladies at the Dam Center on Mondays and cooked for everyone. She enjoyed a long giving life and left behind her children and grandchildren to carry her legacy of love and giving. She loved the Lord her whole life and was a devoted Christian.

Emily leaves behind her children, Pansy Wages of Dallas; Winston Berryman and wife Nancy of Lubbock, Joe Berryman and wife Jackie of Lake Brownwood; eight grandchildren, Randy Marsh, Kirk Marsh, Rod Marsh, Jeff Berryman, Brad Berryman, Gina Matthews, Tami Hulse, and Kerry Peevy; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
