Replace existing systems and use/modify existing ductwork as needed.

Current office area will not be included in area serviced and existing ductwork will need to be removed Restrooms were not in existence when system was initially installed so existing ductwork and return air may need to be modified for future use.

Equipment Shall Be Equal To The Following Specifications:

HVAC Equipment Schedule:

2- Condenser 5 Ton/230 18 seer Horizontal application. 2- COIL/4-5 Ton/Cased Coil. Horizontal application

2- Furnace/Gas/110Btuh/5Ton

2- Smart Thermostat, WiFi capable with remote access.

Duct System Shall Be As Described Below:

  1. Sheetmetal supply plenum. Reuse existing if sized properly for new equipment and duct system.
  2. Sheetmetal return air plenum for horizontal HVAC application. Reuse existing if sized properly for new equipment and duct system. Two 25X25FF 170 Filter grills on each system.
  3. Metal & flex duct system sized to run@ .06SP. System shall be predominately metal with
  4. 2.2″ Owens Coming SOFTR® Duct Wrap FRK” externally wrapped insulation on metal. Flex branch lines shall be limited to five feet run-outs to grills without ninety degree bends in flex duct. Use

metal nineties at ceiling boxes and metal fittings at any change in direction greater than forty five degrees. Existing ductwork may be reused if clean and meets design criteria. Mastic will be used to seal all metal joints, even existing duct.

  1. All ductwork shall be hung from building structure with 26ga. sheetmetal strap. No perforate strap will be acceptable.

Grill Schedule

  1. Supply grills shall be equal to Airmate 503 grills. Existing grills may be reused if cleaned and painted.
  2. Return grills shall be equal to Airmate 170FF grills. Existing grills may be reused if cleaned and painted and are properly sized.

Refrigerant Lines Shall Be As Described Below:

Existing lines may be reused if when tested are found to be without leaks. Existing lines shall be cleaned and flushed to remove old oil and contaminates. Lines shall be tested at 500# and shall hold for two hours with no drop in pressure. Lines will be insulated with 1/2″ armaflex. New insulation will be applied on both ends where attaching to new equipment.

Condenser Pads Shall Be As Described Below:

Condenser pads may be extended to accommodate new equipment. Condenser pad shall be concrete.

Equipment installation shall be described below:

Equipment shall be hung from structure with minimum of 3/8″ all thread rod with unistrut cross members. Each unit shall have a main drain and an auxiliary pan with drain.

Refrigerant lines shall be covered by metal cover where exposed at condenser location.

Gas Piping Shall Be As Described Below:

Reuse existing gas piping. Install new inline gas ball valve and flex connector for each furnace. Gas test if necessary.

Refrigerant & Condensate Lines Shall Be As Described Below:

  1. ACR soft annealed Copper Tubing.
  2. Condensate shall be PVC and may use existing piping to discharge on ground if adequate and sized properly.

General Notes:

  1. Additional ceiling insulation may be necessary
  1. HVAC contractor shall be the prime contractor and carry statutory general liability and workman’s compensation insurance required and shall also require subcontractors to carry the same insurance

or be covered by prime contractors insurance. These insurances are at the discretion of the Youth

Fair Association.

  1. Use old grill holes where possible and install new grills as necessary.
  1. Sales tax should not be included.
