Howard_Payne_logosmallTickets are now available for the 7th annual “Singin’ With the Saints” concert at Howard Payne University. The event will be held in the newly renovated Mims Auditorium on Thursday, May 13, at 2 p.m.

Ticket prices are $13 per person and can be purchased at HPU’s Office of University Advancement, located at 803 Center Avenue in Brownwood, or by calling 800-950-8465 or 325-649-8006. Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable.

Nationally renowned Southern Gospel artists The Kingsmen and The Melody Boys Quartet will be the featured performers at event.

The Kingsmen have been performing Southern Gospel music for more than 54 years. Inductees into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and The Christian Music Hall of Fame, they have received numerous Grammy nominations and four Dove Awards. Band members include bass singer Ray Reese, baritone Bryan Hutson, tenor Harold Reed, lead singer Phillip Hughes, drummer Brandon Reese and pianist Cody McVey.

Celebrating 60 years of performing, The Melody Boys Quartet is well known in Southern Gospel circles. The quartet is led by Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee Gerald Williams. Williams has been singing bass for the quartet for more than 55 years.

The MBQ fills the majority of their programs with traditional quartet harmonies, using only the piano for accompaniment. The quartet is comprised of baritone Caleb Matheny, tenor Tim Williams, lead singer Alan Kendall and Williams.
