Brown County emergency responders were called to the scene of an accident involving a bus on U.S. Highway 183 South on Tuesday afternoon.

As an Early ISD bus was stopping to unload students along the highway, a Ford Expedition stopped; however, the Sweetwater ISD bus following it did not stop and rear ended the Expedition, according to DPS Trooper Molotsky.  The Expedition and the Sweetwater ISD bus were traveling together.

The Early ISD bus was not involved in the accident and no injuries were reported in either of the two vehicles that collided.  There were 11 passengers and a driver in the Sweetwater ISD bus and two occupants in the Expedition, according to Molotsky.

Early Police, Early Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and EMS responded to the scene.
