The Brownwood Art Association’s 2014 Spring Exhibit is currently underway at the Art Center located at 215 Fisk Avenue.  The exhibit is open for viewing April 27 through May 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the BAA Art Center.

The annual event features the work of BAA members along with the works of the 2014 Artist of the Year Sulema Orr.  This exhibit offers an opportunity for the public to see the mixture of local talent in Brownwood.  Pictured above is a photo by Sulema Orr.

Anthony J. Reine will be featured in a solo exhibit at the Brownwood Art Center On May 8th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Reine was born in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He was raised as a child in the small town of Sorrento, Louisiana.

Reine moved to Houston, Texas where he joined the military.  His adventure with photography started not long after he began pursuing photography seriously. Reine discovered his passion for capturing images in nature, “My eye through The Camera Lens” and the beauty that is all around us.  He is self taught and loves to experiment with new subjects and techniques. Reine has always been interested in photography, but has only recently begun sharing his work to let others see the natural beauty of this world that God has surrounded us with.

Reine recently had 3 entries accepted in The Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit in Brownwood Texas. He also placed 2nd and 3rd place in the 2013 Photographer of the year contest held by the Brownwood Bulletin.
