LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, April 24, 2014.

Wednesday, April 23

*6:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  A suspect was issued a citation for theft and a criminal trespass warning, the report states.

*6:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to 400 block of W. Baker Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, officers arrived to find that the female complainant was in another location, where she was then contacted.  This call led to the arrest of 54-year-old Troy L. Webb, Jr. of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence by strangulation.

*7:32 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce, The Fence Guyz, regarding theft.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of trespassing.  According to the report, a subject who had a criminal trespass warning for a property had been on the property.  The incident was documented, the report states.

*Early Police Department made a traffic stop in the 100 block of Williams Drive.  According to Chief David  Mercer, the stop led to the discovery of prescription pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  The driver, 44-year-old John Dunn Andrews of Early, was arrested on two counts of Possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, possession of a dangerous drug, and possession of marijuana.

*36-year-old J.R. Pierce was arrested for theft of property greater than $1500 less than $20,000.

*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Stephen Michael Temple of Brownwood on a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Jose Carmello Ybarra of San Marcos for criminal non-support.

Thursday, April 24

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 28-year-old David Wayne Cogburn of Stamford on a Jones County warrant for theft of property equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
