13 sentenced in 35th District Court

The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release Wednesday regarding felony cases heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

  • Monty Lee Lewis pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Penny Elizabeth Sims pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Against a Public Servant and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Sims pled guilty ti the felony offense of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Royce Harold Christopher pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Luis Ortiz pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Sammy James Peel, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Enhanced, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Alexander Harris pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Chelsea Rene Dishman aka Chelsea Rene Mallone pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Joel David Sandoval pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Rocky Allen Hasty, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to 20 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Lance Robertson pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 8 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

  • Shazzity Denise Scott, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, was adjudicated and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • James Paul Payne, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Juan David Capuchin, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
