AccelHealth CEO, Esther Taylor is proud to announce Sheila Spears, FNP has joined the AccelHealth Medical Team in Brownwood, Texas. Spears earned a special master certificate in Family Nurse Practice from Simmons College, Boston MA. Spears also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration and Education through Hardin Simons University, Abilene Texas.

Spears holds a National Certification through The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. As a Nurse Practitioner, Spears served over 3 years in Washington State and a year in Colorado. She brings 13 years of hospital experience.

When asked why she chose to join AccelHealth, Spears said, “ I have a love for serving others and the community. I look forward to being part of a team who share my compassion. I relish this opportunity which brings me back to my Texas roots.” Esther Taylor, CEO of AccelHealth, stated, “We gladly welcome Sheila’s passion and commitment to serving patients of all ages. AccelHealth CEO, Esther Taylor is proud to announce Stephanie Powdar has joined the AccelHealth Medical Team in Brownwood, Texas. Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UT Southwestern Medical Center prior to becoming a board certified Physician Assistant. She is passionate about Family Medicine and Women’s Health with an emphasis on preventive care. Stephanie believes health is best managed by preventing conditions before they arise and will regularly remind patients about preventive screenings, review lab results in detail, and share helpful lifestyle modifications prior to prescribing medication.

Powdar is a proud native of another small town with a lot of heart, New Milford, Connecticut. She relocated to Dallas-Fort Worth for college in 2012 and loved the Lone Star State so much that she instantly proclaimed it home. While her parents and sisters still open the door at the holidays, they take every opportunity to poke fun that her Northern card has been revoked with every use of “y’all.”

When asked why she chose to join AccelHealth, Powdar said, “I was attracted to the team’s friendly energy and the certainty that my growth as a provider would continue surrounded by like-minded individuals who strive to provide up to date, quality care.
