Early City Council Agenda – April 8, 2014

Tuesday, April 8, 2014 – 6 PM at Early City Hall

1.  Call to order and invocation.

2.  Pledge of Allegiance.

3.  Consideration of the minutes for regular meeting held on March 11, 2014.

4.  Citizen’s comments.  (Citizens are invited to speak to the Council on any topic not already on the agenda.  No Council action may be taken on these items.)

5.  Mayor Mangrum to read proclamations:

a.  National Work Zone Awareness Week
b.  National Safe Digging Month

6.  Police Chief David Mercer to introduce K-9 unit:  Corporal Brandon McMillian and “Jambo.”

7.  Nancy Byler, representing Texas Silver-Haired Legislator, to present Proposition HJR 16 to allow a tax freeze for Seniors 65+ and/or disabled citizens.

8.  Discuss and consider a request from Carol McGlaun regarding streets, traffic safety and improvements in her neighborhood.

9.  Consideration to approve or decline 2014 CPI adjustment to Municipal Telecommunications Right-of-Way access line rates.

10.  Review and consider for approval the City of Early Investment Policy and Strategy as adopted by Ordinance 2005-21, December 13, 2005.

11.  Consider continuation of agreement with Brownwood and Brown County in retaining Bob Turner as consultant.

12.  Executive Session in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 551, Texas Government Code:  Personnel Matters, Section 551.073, Code Enforcement Officer.

13.  Reconvene into open session and consider action, if any, on item discussed in Executive Session.

14.  Administrator’s report:  Meadow Lane.

15.  Adjourn.
