The American Southwest Conference today announced its softball players of the week and Howard Payne’s Ashley Silva was named West Division Hitter of the Week.

Howard Payne junior first baseman Ashley Silva (Angelton, TX / AHS) went 6-for-9 with two home runs and eight RBIs over a doubleheader split with Austin College. In the game the Lady Jackets won, Silva hit a three-run homer to win it in extra innings. She also scored three times.
