County Judge Shane Britton signed an order Monday, Sept. 18 lifting the Burn Ban after conferring with the county Commissioners. This is due to the recent precipitation that has been received. Conditions will be monitored in the weeks ahead. Please monitor conditions and state laws concerning outdoor burning. All controlled burns should be called in to the Brownwood Dispatch center on a non-emergency number  prior to commencing the burn operations. Residents are responsible for safe outdoor burning.
