COLEMAN – In their final match prior to the start of District 8-3A volleyball action, the Early Lady Horns evened their overall record at 7-7 with a four-set triumph at Coleman Tuesday, 25-20, 19-25, 26-14, 25-10.

Hadalee Saunders led the Early attack with 12 kills followed by Dakota Barksdale with six, Matty Boswell and Jensyn Rasor with four apiece, and Grey Pruett, Jenna Hataway, Gabby Benson and Piper Pedersen with one each.

Pruett dished out 29 assists and served an ace, Boswell and Brooklyn McCullough each served two aces, and Saunders added an ace as well.

Defensively, Pruett led the way with 20 digs while Rasor logged two blocks and Saunders was credited with one.

The Lady Horns will kick off their district slate at 4:30 p.m. Friday when Comanche – which is coming off a three-set road loss at Bangs – visits.
