David Tripp, 54 of Bangs, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Celebration of Life for David will be at 1:00 pm, on Monday August 14, 2023, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor Blu Tidwell officiating. It was David’s wish to be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

David was born on May 18, 1969, to Harry Tripp and Leona Beebe Tripp, in Dayton, Ohio. He loved fishing and being outdoors, but David’s real passion was music. Music was David’s life. On March 18, 2017, David Tripp and Nicole Hedges were married and two families became one.

David was a long-haul trucker for many years. Trucking was also something he loved. Seeing new places, watching the seasons change while listening to his music, all from the cab of a big rig – this was David’s heaven.

Those left to cherish David’s memory include his wife, Nicole Tripp of Bangs; daughters, Abigail Poling and Kirsten Poling of Bangs; sons, Jaydon Sandoval of Rising Star and Joseph Poling of Bangs; sister, Treva Sheffield and husband Timothy of Brownwood; and brother, Russ Gordon of South Carolina. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Leona Tripp.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 4300 Co Rd 557, Brownwood, Texas 76801.
