Nolan Cantwell

cantwellNolan Cantwell, age 74, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

Funeral Services for Nolan will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Austin Avenue Church of Christ with Tom Washburn and Ted Kell officiating, interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation for the family will be held Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Nolan was born on April 4, 1939 to Jimmy and Opal Cantwell in Silverton, Texas. He graduated from Early High School. He married his wife, Priscilla, on May 24, 1958 in Early, Texas. He was a member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ. He worked for New Horizons and for Henry Storey as an auctioneer. He enjoyed riding his four wheelers and vacationing in Colorado.

Nolan leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Priscilla Cantwell of Brownwood; sons, Joey Cantwell of Brownwood, and Johnny Cantwell and wife Olivia of Early; grandchildren, Brandon Cantwell and wife Sheena, Ami Doss and husband Cole, Ashley Walters and husband Charlie, and Alyssa Cantwell; great-grandchildren, Jamie Briggs, Kamden Walters, and Jace Doss; brothers and sisters, Worthy Cantwell, Vivonne Arnold, Fayrene Teague, Nita Bedingfield, Arthur Cantwell, and Alvie Cantwell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jimmy” Thomas Cantwell and Lea Opal (Tarrance) Cantwell.
