Jimmie Lucas Farley, 41, of Brownwood passed away in Abilene on Sunday, July 9, 2023. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at Salt Creek Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 12 PM at Salt Creek Baptist Church which is located at 7775 FM 3100 Early TX. Dalton Mathis will be officiating the service. Burial will follow after service at the Salt Creek Cemetery.

For those who may not be able to attend the funeral services, the family invites you to stop by and pay your respects to Lucas at The Brownwood Funeral Home and sign the guest book, on Friday, July 14, 2023

Lucas was born April 5, 1982 in Odessa, TX to Diana Michelle Hill Farley. The family moved to Colorado City when he was young and he received his primary education from Colorado City public schools. While living in Colorado City, Lucas was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church. While in High School Lucas played Football and wore #74 jersey. Lucas loved race cars, Hot Wheel collectible cars, and he was most proud of being an amazing artist. Lucas was proud to say that he helped design the logo at Salt Creek Baptist Church.  

After high school, Lucas, worked in the oil field first as a truck driver then he worked as a trainer for Haliburton in Odessa, Texas. Lucas moved to Brownwood in 2011 and has recently joined the Salt Creek Baptist Church where he loved his church family as his own.

Lucas  was preceded in death by maternal grandparents; Oland Hill and Willie Mae Bradley-Hill, Mother, Diana Michelle Upshaw; Dad, Roger Upshaw, and Uncle Jimmie Don Hill.

Left to cherish his memories are: Aunt, Dawn Bostick (Beau) of Brownwood, Aunt Gerrie Stockton (George) of Brownwood, 1st cousins Tiffanie Alonso (John) of Brownwood, Chris Nava of Brownwood, Maegan McCleery (Andrew) of Pine Bluff Arkansas, Ashley Tvrdik of Brownwood, his Salt Creek Baptist Church family, his bonus Dad, John Frame, who he recently reunited with, and a host of extended family and many friends. 

Services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.brownwoodfuneralhome.net.
