Melody Hope Lavrov

LAVROVFuneral services for Melody Hope Lavrov, 51, of Fort Worth, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 6, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Preston Kemp officiating. Interment will follow at Cox Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, February 5, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lavrov passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth. Melody Hope Heard was born on June 29, 1962, in Brownwood to John Frank Heard and Jackie Preston Heard. She loved horses and spending time with family and friends. And if you spent any time around her, you knew that she enjoyed life to the fullest.

Melody was a member of the Church of Christ and throughout her life, had worked in the accounting field. She had lived in Fort Worth for the last ten years, moving there from New Jersey.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Stephenie Stacy Rose and Bruce Thomas, Sonja Me’chelle Mitchell and husband Donald and Preston Kemp and wife April; grandchildren, Zachary, Morgan, Brooke, Justin and Asa; brothers and sisters, Denman Cain, Cloise Graves, Lee Graves, Sonja Deeds, Kevin Stacy, Jesse Wilson and Shy Heard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Frank and Jackie Heard.
