Calvin Ray Howell, Jr., age 39, of Brownwood, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2023, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chas Shira, pastor at First Baptist Church of Coleman, officiating. A private interment will follow in the Rough Creek Cemetery in Novice. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Calving was born September 15, 1983, in Texarkana, Arkansas to Calvin Ray Howell, Sr. and Mary Geanie Bears Howell. He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School. Calvin relocated to Brownwood where he loved participating with the police department and fire department. He had many friends and was guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Calvin was a happy and content person and loved unconditionally. He will be greatly missed.

Preceding Calvin in death are his parents, Calvin and Mary Howell and one sister, Tammy Michelle Miller.

He is survived by one brother, Matthew Howell of Brownwood; his wonderful friends Robbie and Jerry Nichols of Brownwood; and his housemate, Gayle Teague of Brownwood.
