Monday, January 13

*9:49 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence at Lake Brownwood regarding the theft of a window unit from a residence.  According to the report, the homeowner stated that the window unit had been taken last summer from a residence located on Monaghan Drive and had not been returned.  The complainant named a suspect and stated that the suspect had admitted to taking the window unit.

*2:30 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received an estray bull, calf and a white cow at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center.  According to the report, several unsuccessful attempts were made to locate and contact the owners.

*5:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, Brookshire’s grocery store, regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of Richard Austin Ammons for theft less than $50 and the issuance of a criminal trespass warning to Ammons.

*10:29 PM – A Brownwood Police officer was in the 600 block of N. Fisk when he observed a passenger car traveling south in the 200 block of N. Main Street without its headlights on.  According to the report, a traffic stop was made in the 300 block of W. Baker.  The driver of the vehicle provided the officer with a  false name and was later found to have two outstanding warrants, the report states.  The driver, later identified as 19-year-old Christopher Michale Riley, was arrested for failure to identify fugitive – intentionally gives false name, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, for a warrant for a parole violation and a Harris County warrant related to burglary of a building.

*44-year-old Michael Patrick Stavley of May turned himself in on an indictment for motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
