Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

BrownCountyDistrictCourtLogoBrown County District Attorney Micheal Murray released information Tuesday about several felony cases that were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Victoria Mayes, on probation for felony offenses of delivery of a controlled substance and delivery of dangerous drug, was adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Mays pled guilty to the state jail felony offenses of forgery and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Ashley Ruth Norman, on probation for felony offense of possession of a controlled substance-drug free zone, was revoked and sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Sabrina Lewis pled no contest to the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 20 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Further, Lewis, on probation for the state jail felony offense of forgery, was adjudicated and sentenced to 20 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Michael Wayne Hays, on probation for the state jail felony offense of burglary of a building, was revoked and sentenced to 18 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
