According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 25-year-old San Antonio man died in a one-vehicle accident 8 miles northwest of Coleman on Wednesday, April 25.

The accident took place at 5 p.m. on U.S. Highway 84 as Juwan Allen Morgan was driving a 2004 Ford F-650 southeast, failed to drive in a single lane and drove off the westside of the roadway. Morgan overcorrected driving across back across the eastside of the roadway and overturned. The vehicle caught on fire in the crash.

Justice of the Peace Vicki Kemp pronounced Morgan dead at the scene at 5:06 p.m.

Road conditions were considered dry and whether a seat belt was worn was unknown.
